Restaurant Duties
Breakfast Service - Includes set up, service and clearing.
Afternoon Tea - Includes set up, monitoring and clearing.
Kids Tea - Includes set up, service and clearing.
Dinner Service - Includes table set up, taking orders, selling wines and upgrades, serving, clearing and cleaning.
Dinner service does vary throughout the club hotels in the programme and it may be that you will have 1 dinner sitting, 2 sittings or a rolling service.
Cleaning Duties
Daily Housekeeping - Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas to managers expected standards.
General Duties
Bar Work, Reception and Snow Clearing.
Transfer Day
This will be a potentially early start and can be as early as 4am. Duties will include:
Early breakfast for the departing guests.
Normal breakfast service.
Deep clean all rooms and public areas.
Afternoon Tea.
Dinner Service - can be potentially late due to the late arrivals.
Shift Patterns
The majority of shifts will be "split shifts" where you will work a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon/evening. You may also be required to work "day in" shifts and lunch service but this will vary throughout your working week. Kitchen Porter/Night Porter
This job is usually done by men due to the legalities overseas.
Helping out in the kitchen, preparing food, washing up and general kitchen cleaning duties at breakfast and dinner and clearing snow when required.
Night Porter shifts start approx 11.30pm -7.30am.
Solely in charge of looking after guests in the hotel during the night and when the manager is not there.
Carry out fire safety checks, cleaning duties in public areas and setting up for breakfast.
Completion of hourly checklists to prove that all of the necessary duties have been carried out throughout the shift.
