Recruitment Process
At Thomson, our people are key in contributing to the success of our business, which is why it's so important that, as part of our recruitment activity, we are attracting the right people with the right skills to join us.
We ensure that at every stage of the recruitment process that all applications are dealt with in a fair, respectful and effective way. The recruitment process is a two-way process so not only are we keen to get to know you, but it is also your opportunity to find out more about working for Thomson and what we have to offer.
For each stage of the process, please ensure that you are providing us with as much relevant information as possible to support your application, not only for your preferred choice of job, but possibly for other suitable roles that may exist within Thomson.
There will be further opportunities for you to find out more about Thomson within the selection process, although the more research you can do to find out about our company beforehand, the more this will help you to be successful with your application.

Our recruitment process consists of four stages:
Stage 1
The first stage in applying for a job with us is to search for vacancies. Once you have logged in and registered and found a suitable position that matches your skills and experience, you should then use the "apply" button and complete the online application form. There may be some minimum criteria to answer first. We will then confirm receipt of your application by email. Before you apply you will need your passport and expect the application to take up to 30 minutes.
Stage 2
Once your application is received, a member of our recruitment team will review it against the Thomson criteria. Your application will be handled professionally according to best practice and our commitment to Equal Opportunities.
Stage 3
If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend the interview/assessment stage of the recruitment and selection process. This will be in the format of an assessment day or individual interview.
Individual interviews, on average, last for approximately one hour and are held with the relevant line manager and, whenever possible, a member of the Recruitment team. You will be notified in advance of the recruitment and selection process and specific details. An assessment day may last for a half or full day, depending on which position you are applying for.
