Ensure the profitable running of the bar and exceeding the financial targets set through correct pricing policy, promotions, new business ideas, stock/cash control and successful staff management.
key accountabilities & responsibilities
Team Management
Train and develop staff to maximise performance, aid retention and reduce turnover.
Lead and inspire the team to live by the service principles, thus developing highly motivated, committed teams.
Ensure team receive, understand & adhere to all company policies & procedures.
Co-ordinate workload of staff within the property.
Ensure all staff develop through regular training sessions.
Commercial/Financial Management
Manage the bar budget respecting the financial objectives set.
Meet or exceed the financial targets set.
Develop and implement suitable promotions.
Identify and develop new streams of revenue for the Property bar.
Quality Assurance/Customer Service
Deliver to the customers an environment and service that they would expect of the establishment.
Supplier Management
Ensure suppliers have a full understanding of all product and service specifications in order to ensure effective delivery.
Negotiate promotional prices/equipment from key supplies to help drive forward sales.

Suppliers: Ensure timely deliveries of stock, negotiate discounts and promotional equipment.
Outside customers: Communicate with non hotel guests to try and deliver new revenue stream to the hotel bar.
